FOR A GOOD FAMILY DAY OUT COME TO
BILSDALE SHOW IN 2010
Saturday 28th August 2010
The show is held at Thornhill Farm, Chop Gate, Bilsdale
beside the B1257 midway between Stokesley and Helmsley,
on fields kindly lent by Mr and Mrs S Gibson, J Garbutt Farms and Mr and Mrs D Ingleson.
Traditional Dales Show
In 2009 there was a Flyball Dog Display, Bilsdale Silver Band, Ponies, Cattle, Sheep, Fur & Feather,
Vintage Machinery, Horticulture, Bouncy Castle etc and many more attractions held amid beautiful countryside.
Ample Free Car Parking
Admission in 2009: Adults £4 – Senior Citizen £3 - Children £1 (11yrs & under Free)
Entries taken on the day for the following:
Handy Hunter Ponies & Gymkhana, Sheep Dog Trials, Terrier Show and terrier Racing,
Companion & Novelty Dog Show, Quoits, Hound Trails, Fell Race, Childrens Sports & Treasure Hunt.
The Show Chairman is Ruby Garbutt.

9.00 am Field open
9.30 am Judging of horses and ponies
10.30 am Exhibits to be arranged in tents
Judging to commence in the Fur and Feather Tent
11.00 am Judging to commence in produce tent
Children’s Treasure Hunt - assemble outside the big tent
Judging of Farming Bygones & Cattle
12.30 pm Luncheon tent open for Show guests and officials
1.00 pm Judging of Sheep
Dog show entries taken
2.00 pm Companion dog show
Terriers & other dogs followed by terrier racing
2.30 pm Hound trail (1st)
3.00 pm Hound trail (2nd)
3.00 pm Fell race
3.45 pm Bilsdale Farmers Hunt Hounds
4.00 pm Handy Hunter followed by Gymkhana
4.30 pm Presentation of trophies for General and Children's sections
and prize money paid out in large tent.
